Understandably stressed about the situation, BorderLands really was a huge bright point for us at that time. And I don't think we could have asked for a better one.
Now we are both eagerly anticipating BL2(2 MORE DAYS WOO) while playing the first to pass the time... so this kind of story really hits home. Kudos to GearBox and Mr Mamaril. Kudos all around.
If I die, one of you people need to get me into a game. Petition valve to make me the tenth class.
There are true, caring, selfless humans working at Gearbox, and they often make godly games, too.
THE WAIT IS ALREADY TOO MUCH
It's small things like this that make the second game so much better than the first; there's just so much heart to it.
Yesterday I started a borderlands run with my cousin, I love this game.
They were responsible for 'Opposing Force' the first (and only good) expansion pack for Half-Life back when they were a smaller studio.
$60 for the game, $30 for all possible DLC in the future.
Oh and @AceFlibble: http://images4.wikia.nocookie.net/__cb20091125195855/half-life/en/images/thumb/c/ce/Valve_and_Gearbox.jpg/800px-Valve_and_Gearbox.jpg
G-man was a giant dick in that game.
How? That's exactly the same as it was with the original, it's just now we know DLC is coming and they are giving a discount for early adopters of it.
I really don't see how that is a bad thing. It's optional. If you know you want all the DLC but want to save some money it's a good deal. If you don't, you don't. They aren't water-boarding you for an extra 30 dollars.
Seriously, this is amazing.
Also, this is so not the article to complain about Borderlands 2 pricing structure or video game business practices in general. Gearbox did a genuinely nice thing. Let that be the prevailing sentiment for this article, and let the complaints fall elsewhere.
