Well, this might just be enough for me to get back into BF3, nicely done DICE!
And you have to admire in the world where MW3 was out after BF3 and has had a few DLC packs already, BF3 wont even get its second until 8 months after release! Its good to et a game grow rather than ram countless DLC down our throats

Honestly I'd be happy to see a patch before any new dlc, but hopefully they can roll that into the inevitable update containing the dlc.
Too bad Dice and EA lodged a dick in my ass for four long months while they "tried" to figure out what was wrong with chat for this game on the PS3. Guess what? In that time, I got bored of this game.

Well I'll definitely be getting the second one. The great thing about these is you know they are new. I can't believe EA are letting a developer do DLC right.
This is why I'm a level 41, and not a colonel 41. Battlefield games run on a two year cycle, and my wallet appreciates dice for this. Ill buy into the dlc trickle, just make it worth my time/money. It also helps keep the community centrally located, and things like BC2's Vietnam (and I'm calling End Game as a 'Nam-sized expansion) can really mix up the formula of the entire game.
I would also like to see a patchlist of BF3 next to MW3, to see how support stacks up. These are very important aspects to defining the longevity of a mainly-online MP game, which is a very important quality in my opinion.

End Game you say? It better be nukes. Imagine the chaos created if it's a rush to launch a nuke into one of these big open maps. I will definitely get all of these when they release.
Now if only they could raise the number of players from 24 to 32. Half of what the pc people have. It's a great game, but fighting 12 people on a giant map can get boring sometimes when you have to run for 15 min searching for people.
I love that there is new DLC coming, but it means that the patches will only be applied in june too, which is far too far away, thier bug fixes and patches should be arriving much sooner than that, however, I cannot WAIT for this DLC :)
@kyakakin: Stop playing conquest on consoles then. I started playing Rush exclusively and have had nothing but good times. In fact, on bad company 1, the first console BF this gen, Rush was the only game mode included at launch specifically BECAUSE of the 24 player cap.

The server rental thing for console sounds pretty neat and I hope that people take advantage of it, unless of course the costs are absurd.
Also, I would KILL for a Vietnam like DLC that BC2 had...

Imagine a mode that's basically Rush, except instead of detonating the machines you're downloading data from them (so it makes sense), and then once you've downloaded them both everyone has to get to tha chopper and evac so they can drop a nuke down!!1 The further in the game you get and the more people you evac, the more points you get. It's really dumb but it would be awesome :D

Good to see some more vehicle maps coming our way. I'm glad that the team at Dice know how to do DLC properly. It's a shame we have to wait until June but I'm sure it'll be worth it.
Sorry, but I lost interest in BF3 far too soon for this to matter. They release a DLC pack a month or two after launch stating in no way could it have been developed in time for release, but then don't release another content pack for ~7 months? Really?
As much as I personally dislike the way Activision has handled the CoD series since MW1 became such a blockbuster, at least they are releasing content at a nice rate to keep things fresh for their core player base. If EA wants to learn anything from the CoD series, it should be how to do exactly that. I'm on the verge of buying Gotham City Impostors to get my FPS kicks in just because BF3 grew so stale so quickly and GCI is a far inferior title that I don't own. So tired of "traditional" FPS games. Give me Borderlands 2 and FarCry 3 this holiday season. EA and Activision can keep their rehashes of the same stuff to themselves.

Wow, CQ sounds fun, but large maps on the console versions tend to be on the boring side because they take forever to see any action.
Haven't played since Christmas. Strange, considering the fact I played the shit out of BC2 and Vietnam.
Well that's fucking great, considering the last DLC had downright terrible maps (They just don't hold up on BF3), those stupid assignments that encouraged people to abuse noobtubing more, and guns that your character holds 20 feet above his head, I think I'll pass.

You have to keep in mind that COD DLC adds fuck all compared to BF DLC which are closer to expansion packs.
And a simple answer to how they are releasing this new DLC so "quickly" is that they've had more time to work with the engine, to understand it.

Really? Pretty much all I play now is the B2K maps, though I really only play Conquest now with the rare game of Rush. The only weak one (imo) is Conquest Wake Island, and that's because you can't move the boat to change the angle of approach.
