and as the wii has kibda the same hardware that the gamecube...
"To test out 3D, the team connected a 3D monitor to the Wii to check how games ran in 3D. Konno liked how Mario Kart Wii played in 3D, and staffers were impressed how figures of Mario and Luigi demoed in 3D."
I'm not a big reader on TV companies and 3D companies, but Sony seems to be doing a pretty damn good job!
I think the 3D on the 3DS is cool technology, but I don't see it starting a revolution. Maybe not a revolution in glass-less 3D anyway
Really? You don't see a system that has the potential to sell 150 million units, like its predecessor did, could be the start of a revolution in glass-less 3D? What kind of revolution are you expecting with Sony? Do you really think that the PS3 will sell 150 million units, but more importantly, that Sony will sell 150 million 3DTV on top of that? I highly doubt it! The 3DS is now, and its going to be a mass-market product, so if that's not a 3D revolution, than we must think a "revolution" are two completely different things!
Well, except for people that like to waste money.
3D should be an option, only an option and always an option. So should glasses, but the option of not needed them? Way better than needing them.
Your fanboy is showing.
Next, to wait one or two years so that Microsoft and Sony start revealing their glasses free 3D products.
The 3DS is a handheld with a built in screen, of course it has 3D from the start of its life time...its a 3DS, see the 3D in that name? Thats the main gimmick of the system. Don't understand what you're trying to get at there either.
The PS3 is a home console, so of course you have to plug it into a TV, LMAO WTF
And to experience 3D, no sh*t you will have to buy a 3D TV. Thats like complaining about having to buy an HD TV to experience HD.
I think the glass-less 3D on the 3DS is cool, but it's not going to be nearly as good as it should be. Just like the wii-remote, it was cool technology, but the Move blew it out of the water with accuracy and what all it could do.
So I'm not saying that glass-less 3D is a stupid thing or a bad idea, but I don't think Nintendo has made it as quality as it should be.
Counterpoint, Sony copied the wiimote but backwards the sensor is on the PS3mote and the camera is obvious...
A console that is price friendly (at least in here it sells at the same price of a DSi XL). And gives access at low cost of something that cost 700-900 dollars... It could be a revolution.
Are you retarded? This is the major conference for developers to showcase technology, and the photo shows a room full of people experiencing what is written about here.
I mean... if you... I think...
No. You are retarded.
Because frankly, they need to give people a reason to buy their new hardware and they can't simply rely on the whole Wii/motion control thing for another generation.
Sony did not copy the wii remote.
It seems that you, just like many other people, are not aware of the fact that Sony has been messing around with motion controls with the eye toy since PS2 days.
In the early 2000's, way before Nintendo announced the wii.
Heres a video:

Sure, maybe Sony didn't have the balls at the start of this generation to put out a motion controller. They were all ready taking a huge risk with the 600 dollar price tag, so taking another huge risk with something like motion based gaming would of been very stupid for Sony at the time.
They waited to see how people reacted to the Wii and the motion controller, it sold like hot cakes! So Sony, did what anyone with a bran would do, and brought out the "Move" to compete with the wii. And they made it better than the wii-remote.
Sony didn't copy Nintendo with the motion controls, they waited to develop the tech to make it the best on the market, and they waited to see how people would react to motion gaming.
Are you saying there are no quality Move games? It seems like you are.
Please give me the name of this godsend wii game you are talking about, this game so great that I can't compare it to any Move game without committing a sin.
And yet you don't even name one example.
At least try to pretend that,
well I haven't play all those move games.
I guess I should shut up now.
Thats some crazy sh*t man!
I'm just waiting for him to tell me the name of this game, so I can react by lol'ing and making a counter point.
Also, the point that I was trying to make earlier is to show which alternative is more attractive to the average consumer and likely to become widespread. I didn't really phrase my words well enough. Also, how do you even know the quality of the 3DS? Have you tried it?
Oh yeah, you are right! Glass-less 3D will be much more attractive to the majority of people. Saves them money, and it seems like most people just hate the idea of wearing glasses for 3D, not sure why.
Especially when people take the 3D glasses from the theaters, pop out the lenses, and wear those things around everywhere! (Anyone know what I'm talking about? I see tons of people do that)
But yah, glass-less 3D will attract more people then 3D that requires glasses.
I guess I don't have the right to just say that the 3DS isn't on par to the 3D Tv's that require glasses. But I can say that I have very high doubts that they are up to par.
And besides, I don't plan on buying anything based on 3D anytime soon. Once the technology is as good as the 3D I get in the theaters, I'm staying away from 3D. (hopefully prices will match my small wallet size too)
I'm so tempted to get a 3D TV for some PS3 games like Killzone 3, Motorstorm Apocalypse, Sly collection, tons others, and Uncharted 3.
Those guys who do that with the 3D glasses irk me. I have a pair or two of those glasses, but they're intact and act as souvenirs, not accessories.

Nintendo didn't consider HD to be necessary on a console, because HD adoption was supposedly so minuscule at the time that it wasn't warranted. How does it make sense for Nintendo to embrace 3D on a console that'll be connected to a television, then, given 3D's limited TV market penetration.
People like the idea of glasses-less 3D more mostly because whatever 3D TV you're buying you normally have to shill an extra £100 per pair of glasses, meaning if you want to play o-op on a 3D game on your PS3 or just watch a 3D movies with family/friends, it's going to cost you a lot of money just for that extra dimension. Also, for people like yself that already wear glasses, wearing another pair of glasses on top of the ones I already wear doesn't appeal to me.
Still, at the same time I think glasses-less 3D is still in it's infancy in terms of 3D TVs as they have a very limited sweet spot - and if you're outside of that sweet spot all you see is two overlapping images.
Or get on with announcing Wii HD, and getting 360/PS3 games from the last 5 years ported to it.
If you want Move comparisons to Wii first-party titles, then compare the Wii to LAUNCH first-party titles, since the Move just came out. Wii launch stuff absolutely sucked in terms of motion controls.
