GDC: LittleBigPlanet with PlayStation Move photo

At Sony's GDC press conference, we saw puzzles that use Sony's PlayStation Move controller in simple puzzles and platforming game play in PS3 game LittleBigPlanet. In this conceptual segment,  Sackboy was thrown around with wand waving over obstacles and things like fire pits and traps. The motion controller's full rotational ability was shown while navigating through several different environments. You're able to poke, push, pick up and move environment pieces with simple gestures.

Sony talked about how they envision the game being perfect for parents that want a play a game alongside their children. No release dates or details were given at the time.

Pretty cool. Not the greatest but pretty solid. It is indeed for more brothers and parents able to play with their younger sibling/children. Way to go Sony.

It feels kind of weird to get game-changing updates to a console game that is almost 2 years old.

I ain't complaining, though. :D

i think LBP did need the motion controls. Garison told me it was similar to the "multiplayer" deal in Super Mario Galaxy. I agree.

Neat. Any word on how good the actual motion is? If it's as good as wiimotion plus or better?

So far it looks like the same. Not better, not worse, but THE SAME.

I fear the impact that this will have on my wallet. I still only have one Dualshock 3 due to silly prices, and from the looks of the demonstration I may be needing two of the orb-y controllers for some games. Gah!

You have to buy the eyetoy and the "playstation move" and according to Sony it will tack on "less than 100 dollars" to the 300 dollar PS3... hmm.

It better redefine "dramatically enhanced" presentation to warrant 20 bucks over the free

version (which, I might add, has pretty damn good presentation for a free Facebook game).
