Hate to bore you with an industry biz article, but there were a few notable things to take away from GameDaily's talk with Jamil Molenia, CMP Director of the Game Developer Conference that we'll be attending en masse next weekend between trips to the bar. Here are the two major points for those with crumbling attention spans:

(1) GDC became more visible (after Lowenstein ran E3 into the ground right before quitting the ESA), and D.I.C.E. is 10x smaller than GDC

(2) He got Shigeru "I made this industry" Miyamoto to deliver a keynote. Phil Harrison, from Sony, will also be there along with other notables. This one thing in particular, though, deserves a ride on the Destructoid Hype Train:

GD: You told me at D.I.C.E. that on March 7, I'd be "very happy" that I'm a PlayStation 3 owner. What revelations will Phil Harrison have for us during his keynote that will make us go gaga for PS3? Care to give us some hints?

JM: Haha! Not to be coy but you'll just have to come to his talk, James. All I can say is that I stand behind my comment regarding your future emotional state.

Very interesting. After last year's underwhelming ridge racing, feudal giant crab battles, and rather uncertain state of true 1080p HD gaming at sustainable frame rates, we cannot wait to see what comes out of this man's mouth. We'll be attenting with tissues and lotion in hand, don't let us down ... and don't pull a Kaz.  Look for Destructoid's live blogging of the GDC event, unless we forget to set the alarm.

Does anyone want to speculate as to what they're referring to, besides not Killzone?

SPECULATION: The cell processors will start cell dividing and soon, all PS3s will begin multiplying and evolving. With each new PS3 that is made through this process there will be slight, but wonderful, changes. Everntually, the PS3 will become an all encompassing entertainment system complete with super high def televisions and 9.1 surround sound built in!

Gamepro has an article with Odds on what will be announced at GDC. Pretty interesting. They put more info of killzone at 45% chance of happening. Though that might not be what the GDC guy is talking about.

I seriously lol'd. Phil Harrison is on the same bullshit level as Tony Snow, and says more BS than even the Regginator. To be fair though, all PR guys are just that: PR guys. As an intelligent human being, you should'nt trust shit being said by someone who gets paid a LOT OF MONEY to say VERY GOOD THINGS about his company's product. This goes for all console companies.

There's no way its gonna be Rumble, they've gone on record saying that they will only ever release something like a steering wheel periphrial with rumble, they've even said that rumble is a last gen technology. They would have to do a lot of back peddling.
