I had the pleasure of visiting the Perpetual Entertainment offices yesterday to check out the concept art for upcoming MMO Star Trek Online. While the game itself is still in the early stages of development, I saw hundreds of amazing sketches and paintings that got me panty squirming over the future of this game. It's been hard for any MMO to capture my attention lately as a lot of them seem to be level grinding disguised in different costumes, but STO is putting a high level of detail into a a universe that is already much beloved by millions of fans. Set 20 years after the events of the last film, the game will allow you to play many familiar races and also introduces a new race called the Bimphalians that look downright grumpy enough to eat you. They weren't allowed to release too much information at the consequence of certain death, but we were allowed to share a new concept pieces with our readers and tell them they have a lot to look forward to. Keep an eye on us for more updates on this amazing project as they become avaliable. In the meantime, there's no bad time for Next Generation reruns.

Star trek needs to die... fast...
This MMO stuff is getting a bit out of hand... the market is going to be flooded and servers are going to be empty.
While I will probably never play an MMO for as long as I live, this is likely the one that I'd come closest to maybe considering to play. This has potential to be awesomely awesome, as long as they don't cock it up. However, I would wager that the potential for cocking this up is frighteningly high.
Wait... I thought Bethesda had the rights to Star Trek now. Who are these guys?
I wouldn't mind playing a good sci-fi MMO if they can pull it off. The whole medieval hack n' slash doesn't really appeal to me anymore.
I don't even want to imagine what the Role Playing servers will be like. "If you don't speak Klingon you can't come on the raid tonight!"
Have been watching this since it was announced. Being a crew member on a starship, going on away missions, experiencing pon far, and being inducted into the House of Moog has been one of my wet dreams ever since I got addicted to Next Gen.
Hopefully they won't screw it up, or have the same quest tracks, or quest tracks for everyone! If the Delta Quadrant is the high end content and everyone has to stop the an invasion of Species 8472, that would really kill immersion...
Oh well still too early to make any rash decisions.
I'll play this one when its out !
This is a game I love the idea of, but I'll probably never play unfortunately. I just don't have time for MMOs anymore.
after i get bored of the Lego MMO, i might end my social life with this one.
