GDC 2007: Pokemon Battle Revolution video

     Online
If you were excited about the announcement about the new Pokemon Battle Revolution, check out some live video from the GDC show floor. The vibe in the Nintendo booth was excited and positive and they are showing some good upcoming titles. This title's interactivity with Pokemon Diamond/Pearl should prove to cement previous Pokemon fans and gain some new ones as well. Nintendo looks to be going strong with their party game theme, which is crisp, fun to look at and easy to play. Next gen players might grumble at it, but it looks like they're doing just dandy to me.

@ DrRockso

Nintendo already confirmed this would be their first online title, and reports from Japan say that you need separate friend codes from your Wii system code.

All I want to know is if this game is just battles (or a super-thin story stretched around battles, like Colosseum). If this is closer to the handheld RPGs then Pokemon Stadium, it'll be great.

welll hmm...as embarrasing as it is. One of the players in the match filmed was me. lol. I was getting my butt kicked in the first few hits which you saw. Then i made an awesome come back!!. I havent played Pokemon in a long time and i actually enjoyed this installment. btw. its hard to play at the demo since its all in japanese lol.

I'm guessing the Friend codes for Pokemon Revolution end up being the same as your DS title. That would explain why they're going a different way with just this title.
