DICE is showing off Battlefield 3 at GDC, and I hear it's gearing up to be pretty [embargoed]. They're sharing the love for us non-attendees too, thankfully -- take a look at this first "Fault Line" video installment.
Seem sort of familiar? Snippets of this footage were used for the recent teaser trailer. The first half is spent essentially asking "Guys, how awesome do I look?" just so that we can geek out over the eye candy, if we so desire. Nothing wrong with that, this early on in the marketing cycle. (More substance next time, please?)
If the multiplayer is even close to comparable in terms of visuals, we're going to have some riled up Battlefield fans on our hands. Even more so than usual.

The last seconds were interesting, but everything else... man...
It's PC footage.
You can see the WSAD in the bottom left once the firefight starts.
Maybe it's because I'm not sleepy, or my standards for FPS are generally nonexistent, but I'm pretty excited.
Whatever, show me the multiplayer! If it can be as hype as BF:BC2 with those graphics, they have my money.
And yes, there is no way its gonna look this good on the ps3/360. That's just a sign of the times.
Also, lol @ the "CoD" comparisons. BattleField 2 was Modern Warfare YEARS before modern warfare even existed. I always scoff at the idiotic console-only-kiddies who make these baseless comparisons. You wouldn't have military-themed shooters in the first place if not for games like BF2.
