We are now currently in our hands-on session with Sony's newly announced PlayStation Wand motion controller. We just wanted to drop in and give our quick hands-on impressions and some pictures of the new controller.
In the gallery below you'll see the Move on top of our own Brad Nicholson's big-assed muscle. You'll also see some close-up shots of the buttons and trigger button. The ball seems smaller than I thought it would be in person. It's also light and fits in the hand nicely. It definitely has a nice grip; it feels more like a game controller than a remote control.
Right now we're not doing anything that far from a what you'd do in a Wii game. Nick is playing a bowling game now. It's not 1:1 motion, but he says it's in pre-alpha. At least it looks nice.

i personally like this i think i should sell my wii and then get a 360 so i can have to good systems and have both natal and the move....the wii has failed me to much
as god as my witness kevin butler better do a commercial for this and also i hope their is alot of hardcore goodness with this so this dosen't go the way of the wii

I doubt many of the PS3's small userbase will even buy this let alone people buying the PS3 just to get their hands on a "Move".
Sony's next peripherical should be called "Sucks Ass"
When they bring out an option that doesn't require me to purchase 3 different pieces of hardware, with one having a big fucking ugly beach ball on the top of it, and another that I wont use for anything apart from making Move functional, then maybe I will consider buying one.
To think I was slightly interested in this thing.

When Shigeru revealed the wii-mote sure we all thought OMG. But then a few weeks later Sony said "OH we've been developing motion control too see - we have this... Sixaxis thing oh look we're playing WARHAWK oops i crashed."
And if lying about motion control wasn't bad enough here we go with a horrendous sexual toy rip off of the wii-mote. They have no shame. There is nothing to say they are not copying at all. There's no way they can lie about not copying Nintendo.
I say let nintendo do their thing and let Sony try and out-graphic the Xbox360 and whatever comes after. But leave Nintendo's simplicity and perfection of gaming for the masses alone. Sony just wants to rake in MORE money from the Wii-bowling Grandmas with a shameless rip off.

I actually agree with your view of Sony, but at the same time, in this industry, it's all about improving what's already there.
