Space Invaders Extreme for the DS is, to borrow a phrase from Dale North, my jam. It's gotten me through many a long airplane ride or sitting in airports waiting to be on a long airplane ride (and as RetroforceGo! listeners know, that tends to happen kind of often). The Xbox Live version of the game is being shown off at GDC this year, and while I'm not there to get hands on with it now, I can tell you it's loads of fun. Don't ask me how I know, though, or then I'll have to kill you.
Anyway, you can check out some new screens in the gallery and a new gameplay video after the jump. I associate this game with portable awesome time, so I wonder if this beautiful big version will take some getting used to. Of course, I thought that about Puzzle Quest: Challenge of the Warlords too. Before I spent sixty hours on Xbox Live playing it. Sigh.
great, all i need is for it to haunt me on the xbox like it does on the DS. lol, well, i do love this game, even if it makes me smack myself with the DS a few times.

The game is only 20 bucks and SIE2 is coming out in Japan soon.
