GDC 09: Satoru Iwata Nintendo keynote liveblogged photo

It's early. Too early. Nick wouldn't even let me eat breakfast. I'm hungry, somewhat hung over, and jet lagged, and yet the show goes on. Today Nintendo president Satoru Iwata takes the stage here at the 2009 Game Developer's Conference to offer up the show's first keynote. As you could guess, yours truly has been assigned the event. I'll do my best.

I honestly have low expectations, I heard there might be a storage solution but I've heard that the last five times nintendo held a conference.

Probably just rumors from desperate nintendo fans but I'm willing to let iwata convince to me to buy a DSi but he better pull out some DSiware that blows me away.

Do Sony/MS/Nintendo announce any surprises at GDG or they usually save it up for E3?

As a guy that grew with Nintendo, I'm really interested in Iwata's speech.

"Software sells hardware?" This coming from Nintendo? I think it should be the other way around.

Well they might announce a surprise or two here but they usually just save it for E3.

I'm pleased with the SDHC support, with the VC Arcade (I want madly games like Cadillac and Dinosaurs or Final Fight... Arcade version).

The new Zelda and Wario games sound sexy to me. This conference makes me happy!

I'm very excited about the concept of VC Arcade: I can has arcade conversions of Marvel Vs Capcom 2 and Virtual-On pls?!

Also, I'm totally about to geek my gourd over My Life as Darklord. IN MY MIND THAT'S GOING TO BE AWESOME!

Also Zelda on a train. Steps closer to a futuristic Zelda game...

Those were some good announcements for a GDC conference. I loved FF: My life as a king, so a sequel rocks. Ima hold out on this update however because my *ahem* homebrew will most likely be deleted, and i'll need to pick up a 32GB SDHC card.

Zelda is awesome, hopefully the train thing is better than it sounds.
