The 9th Annual Game Developers Choice Awards ended with a bang -- a bang that could only be brought by a teaser for a hype-inducing game ofModern Warfare 2's level. Infinity Ward put the debut video for the first-person shooter on full display, and you better believe we've got it embedded post-jump.
Besides a green-tinted montage of various locales accompanied by cries of agony and constant gunfire, and of course Modern Warfare 2's release date (November 10 of this year), it's not a whole lot for more casual fans to go on.
But, you know what? It's quite frankly better than nothing at all. A solid release date will surely get hardcore Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare players excited. Now, I've got to ask, when's the beta coming, guys?
Jordan Devore is Destructoid's PC gaming manager and founding ginger editor. He is said to be easy to love but difficult to know. When Samit inquired about his curious bio photo Jordan simply replied: "bitches love sandcastles" ... yet, there is no sandcastle in that photo. We may never truly understand his ways.

And eh, another crappy FPS, most likely the SP will be full of enemy closets and the multiplayer will stop being supported within a month of the game's release(just like like the original).
Holy shit guys, it's a teaser. And a really well done one at that.
Myself, Im excited. Did the British voice sound like Price to anyone else? The endgame was kind of unclear there. Also, YES YES YES, I can not wait for this game. One of the most quality FPS experiences I've ever played, with a twist just short of BioShock's. Fuck yeah, IW, I cant wait to get rid of WaW and get back into the seat of some awesomely balanced perk based Multiplayer. SOLD
Am I the only one who thought this trailer was pretty cool? Had my headphones on and was not expecting anything like that. It's like they took you through a scene from the game without actually showing you what was going on. I've never seen anyone else do something like that.
Also, apparently there's more to this trailer... If you go to the website there is an "analyze" button, and they're asking people on Twitter to rank their findings form the trailer.
I don't think I've ever gotten so excited after seeing so little. Well, technically there was a lot going on, but the trailer left a lot to the imagination, which speaks a lot for just a teaser. I'm definitely looking forward to this.
By the way, when they first get off the elevator, if you zoom in above the "Security" sign on the right youy'll see what looks like perk symbols. It looks like Deep Impact, a foot with a wing on it, and two other symbols.
Yeah, I really liked it as well. It's just a teaser video to try and raise attention and get people talking. It planted plenty of seeds and was refreshingly unique feeling -- not like every other teaser video with .5 second clips stapled together. And like lots of others have pointed out, they hid a lot of things for you to look for and analyze further online. Good job, Infinity Ward!
Wow. In what way did that 'tease' me? A green line that moves up and down. FANTASTIC!
P.S. Go check out the Gametrailers comments for epic hyperbole action. Apparently this is GOTY already! Because it has green lines. AWESOME!
There beter be at least one new mode as well as bio-weapon zombieson a plane. Super CoD Kart would be imense, think about it, driving a mini tank, humvee, apache with an oversized terorist head... priceless lol
Unfortunatly the MP will still take very little talent kudos to hipfire spray-n-pray brats and juggernaught. Shit, I will still try the beta. Damn casual fucktards.
It had a definite story, it was a new and different way to showcase that story, it bears repeat viewings so you can pore over all the nuances, and the sound was really good. I have no idea why anyone wouldn't like that. I'd much rather see this than another boring "military game" trailer. Not that I don't WANT to see the game, but this gets me way more excited than the trailer they used last time.
Destructoid is an open discussion community. You don't need to "audition" to post a comment - just speak your mind. We respect differing opinions on the site, so have at it. Be smart, funny, insightful, clueless, or cute -- but back it up with substance. Keep your cool, keep it fun. We only ask that you act respectfully and above all: don't be a troll and ruin it for everyone else. Don't bring down gamers or we'll, you know, gently shoot you in the face and stuff you into a flaming mailbox. Each comment is your opportuntity to make this community awesomer. Is that even a word?
Avoiding the banhammer only requires common sense: spamming, trolling, racism, NSFW stuff, and other forms of sucking will not be tolerated. If anyone is griefing please report abuse. Be good. Don't suck!

I'm sure it will sell a billion copies though.

At least until the very end. Now I kind of do want to know what was going on. So, mission accomplished. I'm sorta teased.
I want to buy it (again) on ps3 but I am NOT paying $59.99 for an old ass game.
