It's Hideo Kojima, the guy you know for the cool glasses and those Metal Gear games. The guy who made Drebin. The guy who likes the ducks and frogs. Snake's real daddy. And he's finally accepted the invitation to do a keynote speech here at the 2009 Game Developer's Conference. We're here this morning setting up to cover it live for you.

There's gotta be something going down -- that's what everyone keeps talking about over drinks in the bars. Will Kojima have something new up his sleeve? He can't just come here and talk, can he?

We've heard some silly things this week. Metal Gear Solid 5? Nah. That's crazy talk. A new spin-off? A Raiden game? An Ocelot game? Maybe. More mobile and portable stuff? Probably.

Read on after the jump and see what goes down as we liveblog Hideo Kojima's GDC 2009 keynote.
