Journey's "Don't Stop Believing" is in Rock Band? How do I know? I know that Harmonix people took the stage here at a after hours party at GDC and started rocking the 1980's hit song live. So it's in there somewhere. Take that as you will. The Harmonix folks built it up pretty big here at this party. The bar went nuts when the news came out. And who wouldn't go nuts? Isn't it the quintessential power ballad? Unfortunately that's all we know. There's no price or release date at all. Our own Nick Chester notes that Randy Jackson and American Idol were mentioned in the loading trivia screen. Our own Dale North notes that this song is cheesy and played out. [Update: We've added video of the event after the jump. Feel free to sing along. Also, Dale North is wrong. - Nick] Just a small town girl, livin in a lonely world She took the midnight train goin anywhere Just a city boy, born and raised in south detroit He took the midnight train goin anywhere
A singer in a smokey room A smell of wine and cheap perfume For a smile they can share the night It goes on and on and on and on
Strangers waiting, up and down the boulevard Their shadows searching in the night Streetlight people, living just to find emotion Hiding, somewhere in the night
Working hard to get my fill, Everybody wants a thrill Payin anything to roll the dice, Just one more time Some will win, some will lose Some were born to sing the blues Oh, the movie never ends It goes on and on and on and on
(chorus)
Dont stop believin Hold on to the feelin Streetlight people
