Erm, not quite. Real Mustangs have 22 frets (at least the modern ones do), not 17 - so good luck hitting that D6. Then of course, a lot of guitars have 24 frets and some even have 27, 32... I really don't see how "playing the exact notes of the song" is going to work out given that that peripheral simply does not have enough frets to play a lot of notes used in guitar solos. To be boring about it, you couldn't even play Livin' On A Prayer on that thing correctly. God knows how any shred tracks are going to work with this 'pro mode' given the controllers physically do not have long enough necks with enough frets to cope.

@Ace Damn, really? Seems weird (read: really damn stupid) that they'd make a claim like that when people who actually know about guitars can easily dispute it.
I know absolutely zilch about guitar, and watching this thought it looked/sounded pretty impressive. But if they've only done a half-job on it...
Guess we'll have to wait and see, hopefully they'll clarify/clear up stuff like that at a later date. Otherwise there's gonna be some pretty disapppointed buyers.
