When it comes to racing games, I'm usually more of a sim kind of guy than I am a fan of arcade-style driving. I've enjoyed what I've played from Need for Speed series well enough, but as its entries are rarely bright on my radar, SHIFT hadn't really caught my eye. That changed today while watching EA's gamescom press conference.
If you follow the franchise, by now you've probably seen its impressive cockpit view and heard about the effort that's been put into making it a realistic driving experience. If you don't follow it for reasons similar to my own, you might want to start paying attention. Lord knows you need something to play during the endless wait for Polyphony to get anything out the door.
The gameplay we saw from the press conference was pretty exciting stuff, and we'll keep you updated if the video pops up. In the meantime, here are some new screenshots to hold you over.
