Here's the quick version: Just Cause 2 got a gamescom-themed trailer, which you can skip ahead and catch after the break. I got a particularly good screencap from it. Now, I'm inviting you all to add captions to the image. Do eet!
Anyway, the trailer does a terrific job of showing that the game is more actiony than most summer action movies. Sure, the first Just Cause game is being turned into an actual film, but let's forget that's happening. Trust me, it's for the best.
Flying boats. Grappling vehicles to a helicopter. Falling long distances with little to no repercussion. Yes, Just Cause 2 is beginning to remind me of Mercenaries 2. I will be absolutely crushed if this game is anywhere close to as buggy as that was. Crushed, I tell you!

It looks pretty nice, but the whole grappling thing seems like it could become kind of gimmicky over the span of the game. We'll see. Also, YEA MERCENARIESSSSSSSZ!
I gave the demo for the first game a try, and liked it for the pure madness it inspired, but I felt like it would get old. I just watched a video posted a little while back showing off the new grappling features for this sequel, and I have to admit, it looks pretty awesome.

I see you haven't played the first game I assume. The whole thing was grappling, yet I loved it.
