This weekend the buena gente behind GaymerCon announced that they were successful in obtaining the funding to provide a safe space for LGBTQ folks to hangout and share their love of games. After bringing in nearly four times of their original $25,000 goal over the course of their 30 day Kickstarter campaign, the organizers are more than set to start planning the event.
That will take place next year on August 3rd and 4th in San Francisco. What exactly will be going on there is anybody's guess at this point, but with $91,389 in tow (prior to any additional ticket sales) it sounds like they're in a great position book entertainment and a nice venue. Now, about those panels...
