Not much has been revealed about the next DLC for GTA IV, "The Ballad of Gay Tony," but we're so excited for it that we're even hyping up the Tuesday release of the trailer for the game. What we do know is that we'll be taking on the role of Luis Lopez and mixing in with different social circles within Liberty City's night life. However, now that we have the first screens of the DLC and they involve explosions and guns we can also guarantee that "The Ballad of Gay Tony" will feature explosions and guns. This is the kind of hard hitting, investigative journalism we like to run with around here.
From these screens it looks like Gay Tony's ballad is going to be pretty action packed and a little more high end than the previous two GTA IV adventures we've been on. While the four screens we have here don't give much else away it is clear that stuff is going to be blowing up around helicopters a whole lot. If I was a resident of Liberty City I'd avoid all propeller based flying machines as best I could.

Destructoid is an open discussion community. You don't need to "audition" to post a comment - just speak your mind. We respect differing opinions on the site, so have at it. Be smart, funny, insightful, clueless, or cute -- but back it up with substance. Keep your cool, keep it fun. We only ask that you act respectfully and above all: don't be a troll and ruin it for everyone else. Don't bring down gamers or we'll, you know, gently shoot you in the face and stuff you into a flaming mailbox. Each comment is your opportuntity to make this community awesomer. Is that even a word?
Avoiding the banhammer only requires common sense: spamming, trolling, racism, NSFW stuff, and other forms of sucking will not be tolerated. If anyone is griefing please report abuse. Be good. Don't suck!
I wonder how Rockstar will approach that.
I didn't have any fun after III, but after all this hype, I'll buy in.
Still, this looks really great and I still want it to be awesome even if I can't play it. GTA IV gets a lot of flak and I don't understand why.
Here's a pretentious inference for you -- with all the overlapping story lines, gaming may not have its Citizen Kane, but it looks like it has found its Canterbury Tales.
Also, main character of this isn't gay to my knowledge- you play as Luis, not Gay Tony. You've seen Gay Tony in cutscenes in GTA4 and L&D.
Also, it's not often that I say this, but these are good screenshots. Most of the time it's some throwaway shot of a character or something, but these are good, well-taken shots.
DO WANT.
Surprisingly excited. Honestly, most GTA sandbox style games are just too danged long for my work schedule, I can never enjoy them to completion. Two 10 hour chapters sounds ideal for me.
