Shirley Manson is easily one of my rock chick idols. She's pale as hell even though it's trendier to be tan, she sports unapologetically red hair, and is unafraid to speak her mind. Oh, and she's an all-around badass. Seems like a no-brainer that she'd show up in a videogame one of these days, and sure enough, its just been announced that she will be joining the cast of Guitar Hero 5 as a playable character. Whee!

I love Garbage and I have to say I'll take this over that awful Hayley Williams cameo anyday. They didn't even pick a good Paramore song!
I know everyone hates Guitar Hero, frankly I hate Guitar Hero too. What I hate even more is knowing I will be buying this game eventually. Damn me and my blind positivity.
I've been kinda "meh" on Guitar Hero for a while now, but this actually makes me slightly interested. Kind of sad that this is what it takes, but Garbage is one of my favorite bands.

Any chance that some of her solo music will be making an appearance in GH5 then? I know that the record label wouldn't release it because they didn't think it would rake in enough cash to be worth it since the music is too noir, or something like that.
After Half-Life 2 came out, there really is no excuse to have such terrible facial animations, especially singing. Just opening/closing a mouth in rhythm to the words isn't cutting it anymore, guys. :-/
