Gaming and drinking together as always photo

The Official Xbox Magazine, tired of covering games sober, has gone ahead and notched the nerdiness level up a few degrees by getting some high-end drink creators to come up with some very special alcoholic drinking recipes. The drinks come from all over the Xbox gaming arena including faves like Left 4 Dead and BioShock. Looking at them, and then reading the instructions for making them, makes it very clear that most of these drinks are far more about the look then the "getting drunk and passing out on the floor."

Most of the drinks require a pestel of some sort and the instructions for the Spinning Pile Driver include carving off a lemon skin in a spiral shape and wrapping it around the inside of a glass, using ice cubes to prop up the skin to the inside of the glass. If I went through all the trouble to make a drink like that I doubt I'd want to drink it let alone make enough to get properly drunk off of it. No, the true irony here is that while the drinks are named things like Boomer Bile, The Plasmid and Bum Rush they look more like something you would find far far away from your living room's 360.

Heh, the really convoluted ones like the Pile Driver one almost reminds me of the Pan Galactic Gargleblaster recipe from the Hitchhikers Guide :3

oh boy, this madness is just in time for the Baltimore Narp next weekend. Everyone in a 1 mile radius should bolt down their patio furniture and lock up their pets.

As long as you keep it clean with either Beer, Wine, Whiskey, Gin, Tequila or Vodka, I'm all for it.

Drinking + Gaming = Awesome. But i'm too lazy to make those fancy drinks so i just stick to beer.

I always thought the "Blue Bomber" would make an interesting shot/ cocktail. The only problem is you'd probably have to incorporate some awful, gut rot-inducing tropical liqueur to achieve the desired color. A boy can dream.

How lame, I was wondering why that Bioshock drink wasn't called something as cool as "The Big Daddy." I looked it up and found out it was already taken. Bleh.

The Poison Arrow looks cool and the Plasmid reads like it'd be pretty tasty, the rest are a whole lot of effort for what sounds like some truly rank cocktails.
Just neck a bottle of absinthe if you're that desperate to get hammered quick.

"As complicated as a drink should be."

On the rocks? In a glass? Too complicated!

I'll stick with my White Russians. Those drinks are far too complicated, and only the Plasmid looks anything drinkable. The dude abides.

The Boomer Bile one sounds ridiculous. Cucumbers?

You have a couple of drinks and you start playing some video games. You pass out and wake up later to find out that you weren't playing video games before, but were playing around with a video game controller while watching tv.

@Fooliswolf: Its funny cause theses fruity concoctions would be several more times powerful than any beer or scotch. Plus scotch has the downside of being disgusting, and I'm from scotland :|.
