GameStop wants to see your mutton chops photo

GameStops at the Herald Square and Rockefeller Center in New York City celebrated Mutton Chop Madness today in celebration of the release of X-Men Origins: Wolverine. The GameStops handed out thousands of fake sideburns that may or may not have been laced with toxins that will make people wearing the sideburns subscribe to Game Informer.

GameStop is also holding a contest over on their Web site where a $100 GameStop gift card is up for grabs. All you need to do is submit a picture of yourself with mutton chops. They're going to be picking one winner a week until May 22. If you don't have mutton chops or can't grow them because you have a vagina, you can download and print out these mutton chops that GameStop has provided.

FOX is promoting the f*ck out of this game and movie. Oh, and don't forget, Destructoid is giving away a $200 GameStop card sometime today through our Twitter account.

Anyone see the movie yet? I saw it last night and liked it. It was better than X-3 at least.

The cashier at an EB Games near me has mutton chops. But I think it's completely by choice.

Hated the movie. They destroy pretty much everything in the Origin story, and they one-up their shit with what they did to Deadpool.... =( CGI is sub-par, dialogues are horrible...the movie is saved by good performances from the actors and some nice action ideas...and that's all.

Don't you subscribe to Game Informer? I mean, I guess a subscription is technically a continual pre-order.

damn, I've had sideburns since highschool but this contest is only open to US residents. I'd thought my moment had come.

hell yes. i've tamed the chops a bit recently, but i'll definitely be sending in some pictures from a couple years ago (i basically had a reverse-goatee at one point).

To be fair, an hour long documentary about a canines passage of stool is somewhat more entertaining than X3.
