I'm sure the date is more then likely just a place holder. However I'll pay $10 for a few little extras like that, sounds awesome.

@masterballs I played in co-op, so I missed all those amazing aural treats the first time around. But yeah, when I think of Sheva I tend to block out her bizarre communication mannerisms and concentrate on how awesome it is when she's slitting throats.

First time I've felt tempted to buy a special edition. It's only a few quid more than the real one and you get some nice stuff. I'm guessing the DLC will cost almost as much as the extra for the special edition by itself anyway.
Never played Resi 5 so I oculdnt tell you what Jill is like, but she cant be any worse or annoying or useless as MvsC2s version.

I could see DLC characters taking longer than "February" to tweak up and finish. Fighter characters are pretty complex, if you want them to be good.
If DLC characters means well have 40+ characters without waiting until 2012 to play MvC3 at all, I'm pretty ok with that.

I don't like DLC characters being announced so early (before the game is out), yet it beats SF 4's costumes that are already on the disk...
Hopefully the fact that the DLC chars won't be available for a month after the game's release means that this isn't going to be bullshit DLC that's already on the disc.

Shuma-Gorath is so incredibly awesome that I may buy this package just for him. For those unfamiliar, he's basically the Marvel comics equivalent of Cthulhu who has been shrunken down into a manageable fighting-game size.
Just pre - ordered this nice little Package. The Steelbook (i collect them) and the two additonal characters was what sold me on this one...

This isn't really tickling my pickle. I was hoping for an art book but I can live without that (though I have delicious fever dreams). Maybe they are saving the art book for a proper release later down the road? The digital comic subscription is weak to me as every Wednesday is comic day in my world so digital comics don't factor in. The downloadable characters aren't bad but yeah, neither of them were particularly my favorite in previous incarnations of the series. So yeah, not really what I was hoping for but at the end of the day, these are just trinkets and baubles when what we all really want is the game. And that game will be a joyous thing.

I said a while back that MvC3's roster would be huge...because they will take the op to nickel-n-dime the shit out of you for DLC roster. This probably won't be the only pack they offer as a preorder bonus - other retailers will probably get the exclusive DLC love, too. And they'll all be offered online after a time, and the rest of the world will pay dearly to "catch 'em all" in a fighting game. Reeeeeedicurous.

Shuma Gorath isn't too surprising, but Jill caught me a bit off guard, since we already have Chris and Wesker. On the other hand, RE is a big franchise, so it shouldn't be TOO surprising that we get 3 RE reps. I wonder what'll happen to the zombie spawn move, though, since both Jill and Frank (who we all know is practically in) both use it.

A pack-in comicbook is just a temptation to never open the box. How could they think that was a good idea for a collector's edition bonus?! The DLC card just makes for an even greater temptation to keep the package in mint condition.
Then again,it could be perfect for comicbook collectors who would do that anyway.
