Not owning an Xbox prevents me from mocking Microsoft trying to hock a disc-less system with much confidence but I wouldn't be entirely off-base to make a PSPGO comparison would I?
The oly reason I see a need for an Xbox is the xbla games... Little good an Xbox light would do there!

A fully functional, bluray playing, $200 PS3 with acres to it's while library definitely blows a $100 XBLA player that requires a subscription fee to access anything else, including youtube, out of the water. This price is so insanely cheap!

I paid €600 for mine and bought a second one for €250 and I still think it was well worth it. This is steal!
I would so buy a $99 disc-less 360. I own a 360 already but it's falling apart and out of warranty and my PC and PS3 cover all the grounds the 360 has except for Gears (which I'm more then done with) and XBLA. A $99 XBLA machine would be perfect for me, or I could just wait till Fez and BattleBlock Theatre hit another platform.

Here in Dallas I just grabbed this deal and the guy gave me the option to have Arkham City or MK Komplete. I've beat AA so I got MK. Free... Wow. No bashing Gamestop for me for a long time!
Id buy a $100 Xbox. Mine just died and the only reason I want another is my investment in arcade and on demand titles (i miss you edf & reach) plus I have live for 2 more years. So yeah. Gimme. Awesome sale on ps3s though (i already have one).
Went out and got myself one shortly after seeing this article. Good looking out Destructoid. Also, a nice surprise was the choice between a free copy of Mortal Kombat or Arkham City. Went with the Batman since I am the absolute worst as fighting games.
1) A $200 PS3 with some strong marketing for the Naughty Dog developed 'The Last of Us', and maybe some exclusive tie in for something big like ACIII or GTAV would definitely move some units.
2) A 360 with no disc drive, an ARM SoC instead of the Xenon+Xenos, and no ability to play 360 software beyond a select list of Arcade games and apps, would be a complete flop, even at $100. Especially if they launch it alongside or right before the official Next Xbox.

Sheeeeeit I've been really holding out to get Red PS3 since my 120GB is just about maxed out... 200 dollars for 160GB tho? Can't go wrong
