This is a pretty awesome idea, but I don't like that GameStop is championing it. They'll probably charge full price for the ability to stream.

If they offer some sort of package maybe I'll do this. Onlive offers 60 some odd games for 9.99 a month. The problem is 85% of them are games I've never fucking heard of. Also you have to be within 1,000 miles of their servers to have a decent connection. Oh, and trying to play multiplayer on there is a fucking joke.

with all this push for streaming bullshit, these company's may want to talk with at&t and other ISP's to drop their data caps. streaming games like this will kill your bandwidth and data caps.

While they're at it how about they kick the ISP's like AT&T into actually offering better services in a lot of areas, for competitive rates, too.
There's no reason someone in a nationally recognized, medium to large, American city should only be able to get internet from a major company that's max speed is 3mbps.. For $43.. They don't, and say they don't plan to, offer their "better and faster" U-Verse package for the same price here and frankly I'm not that keen on going back to Comcast, and paying $17 more for theirs, after all the bullshit they put me through when I had them.

pc games are a good match for streaming services, but console games? surely this means each session requires a console on their end of the stream, and that unlike onlive there will be no game pausing/resuming...
