Sounds like some of those community events will be impossible, because the series hadn't been about zombies since Code Veronica.
What is up with every shooter going this route? Battlefield 3, Modern Warfare 3, Ghost Recon: Future Soldier, ALL have these kinds of websites where you can look at stats, message boards, friend lists and what not. Just put that shit in the game! Whenever I hear about a game having a website like these makes me feel like they used resources that could have went into THE ACTUAL GAME ITSELF and instead wasted it on something that maybe 20% of the user base will use. Now even RE has this shit?
Urgh. RE6 does not need to be CoD/BF. Hell, killing hundreds of thousands of zombies should not be a goal for anybody in a Resident Evil game. You know what the body count is in an average trip through RE3? 32. Thirty. Two. That's a body count with tension and 'survival' written on it.
Resident Evil is an interesting franchise. It seems the games have been moving more towards the movies in the last few iterations. Isn't is supposed to go the other way around?
