gamescom: Play as a puppet in pretty platformer Puppeteer

This post brought to you by the letter "P."

During their press conference, Sony just revealed a brand new platformer for the PlayStation 3 called Puppeteer. Looking very similar in style to LittleBigPlanet, the game is a very solid-looking 2D platformer with a unique mechanic: Using different heads to gain special powers (seriously, the boy-turned-puppet main character removes his head and replaces it with others), players are tasked with navigating through gorgeous stages, solving puzzles, and defeating massive bosses armed only with a pair of scissors.

Not much is known about Puppeteer outside of its surprisingly impressive trailer, but what was shown looks very promising.

I love 2D platformers, and, outside of the LittleBigPlanet visuals, this one gave me a very Dynamite Heady vibe. And I love Dynamite Heady. Can't wait to learn more about Puppeteer.

Tomorrow's Tuesday, which means today is Monday. I hate Mondays, am I right? But while your Monday is guaranteed to not get any better, well, Tuesday won't, either. Life is pretty bad. But at least you can download some free PlayStation Plus games while you suffer through it! Free tomorrow are the criminally underrated Puppeteer (PS3) and the 'what else are you playing on your Vita?' Surge Deluxe.

While it's perhaps not as high-profile a release as The Last of Us, Japan Studio's Puppeteer is another very promising game to help close out the PlayStation 3's library. If you haven't been keeping track of this platformer,...
With E3 right around the corner Sony has dropped another whimsical look at the upcoming PS3 platformer Puppeteer. The new trailer paints a picture of what is sure to be one of this year’s most bizarre adventures, as it showcases the utter creativity that is oozing from Japan Studio’s latest.
As we previously reported, gorgeous PS3 exclusive title Puppeteer finally has a date: September 10, 2013, where it will be priced at a nice and low $39.99. You'll see in our gallery the special packfront for the game, shown a...
Sony's Puppeteer seems to be coming along pretty nicely, and on September 10th of this year, we'll be able to see the finished product. At a demonstration at GDC, Sony confirmed to Joystiq that the game will indeed see a Sept...
Check out the world of Hallowee Ville, from upcoming PS3 game Puppeteer. I had to look at the name two or three times to make sure that I wasn't crazy. It's like one of those mind-bending visual tricks that makes you see som...
