Y'know as much of a douchehat I think Dante looks like, I actually really like this redesign. It has just enough of the old Vergil feel to it. Maybe part of it is the fact that he looks older than Dante, or maybe I just wished Dante looked like more of a young adult and less like that annoying teenager who stocks things at the Petsmart here.

I bet you weren't expecting to hear this from me, but I'm cool with this. While it varys from every picture I see of him, this guy's design doesn't offend me like Cunte or Fatdus. I'm sure they'll butcher his personality somehow like in Team Ninja's classic shitty ending twist but eh they could of done much MUCH worse with Vergil.

He reminds me of Wesker a little bit. not trying to hate, just saying. Also, atleast his face doesnt look as Busted as Dantes. Overall i give him 6/10, Dante 2/10, Graphics 9/10, Gameplay 4-7/10, Story 2/10 - This game is also probably going to be SOOOO SHORT- .

But I do agree on Heavenly sword being crap. I could not get into that game. Plus it's combat system was too annoying.
What the hell is wrong with these people? One asshole is rating everything like he owns the game and has beaten it, and the rest just assume that because a developer hasn't hit a home run in their previous attempts that this time they'll simply strike out.

Actually heavenly sword is greater than enslaved in everyway. Characters, story, dialogue, gameplay, and graphics were all better in enslaved. However dmc is looking to be their best game yet. :-D
Enslaved > Heavenly Sword and I'll fight anyone on that.

I didn't like Enslaved because the combat was boring.
However, the more emo whining I hear, the more determined I am to buy this game. I will buy it and I will smile while I'm buying it, because I will know that for every copy sold, an emo kid loses their wings.

Unlike Dante, Vergil actually looks alright. Still maintains a lot of the flair he had from the old games, while looking distinctly different.

While I'm still not thrilled with the new direction of this game, I have to say they did a much better job with Vergil's redesign. They adapted the character to their own style, such as it is, but kept enough of his core that he's recognizable. All in all, it feels like a valid alternative version of the character I know.
As I've said before, they've taken the coolest character in the DMC universe and made him look, act and sound like the bastard child of Wesker and a Ken doll.
I can't wait for this game, I've been a fan of the franchise from the start and I totally dig the new art style, and yes, even the new Dante. I love the character design for Vergil, but the trailer kinda made him seem like some do gooder douchebag. That's not the Vergil I remember, but hopefully ninja theory won't let me down.
When I first saw the thumbnail I thought.. Hey! Not bad! But when it came to looking at the comments I thought.. watch people complain anyway and find something to nitpick about anyway.

To me, its a big blow to destroy the universe that was developed over four games. I still don't like it, I really just don't like the look, feel, and action of DmC. It seems like its too focused on being cool, to focused on attracting a big crowd, and too focused on over advertising that it just doesn't seem like its even part of the series.
To know Vergil is involved is saddening, cause I liked vergil a lot. I like this character design at least, but his role in this game is just another thread of the original story torn apart.
Oh well, its not like capcom cares about their franchises anyways.
