GC 10: Dungeon Siege 3 gets new screens photo

Despite my dislike of Alpha Protocol, I am still looking forward to checking out Obsidian's slightly less spy-flavored RPG, Dungeon Siege 3. These new pre-release screenshots actually look better than the "finished" Alpha Protocol did, so that's a great sign!

Seriously, the game's looking pretty damn good. Check out the gallery and see if it tickles your fancy. My only concern is the studio spreading itself thin between this and Fallout: New Vegas, so hopefully Dungeon Siege doesn't suffer a lack of due love.

I'm actually feeling some artistic direction from this game, which was something that AP totally lacked.

Very excited for this. I don't think there's much to worry about in terms of spreading themselves thin though; I mean New Vegas is coming out soon and I don't even think there's a release date set for Dungeon Siege 3, so I'm sure they'll have time to give this game the attention it deserves.

Also is it just me, or does it look like Obsidian is trying to appeal to all the Diablo fanboys who complained about Diablo 3 being too bright and Warcraft-looking with the art direction in this game?

Love Alpha Protocol. Can't wait for future Obsidian releases.

@King Kong Five
It does look like Diablo but that to me, is a good thing!

Is this multiplayer? Might have to grab it so I can play with the GF as she loves Diablo II.

I totally agree, I'm digging the art style.

And I assume it does have multiplayer, seeing as DS2 did (online and LAN).

Is this based on the Uwe Boll movie based on previous games?

I have high hopes for this title. I'm not the biggest fan of AP, but this looks a good deal better.

Also, wasn't Obsidian the ones licensed to do that Wheel of Time game? Whatever happened to that?
