Games on Demand: Smackdown '08 and '09, LOTR: Conquest
The Games on Demand selection grows even more this week with some Smackdown action for your Xbox 360. Both SmackDown vs RAW 2008 and SmackDown vs RAW 2009 join the full-game downloadable line-up, though I'm not quite sure why someone would want the 2008 version. I mean, wouldn't everyone want the more current one? I guess if you were looking to get something under $20, then the '08 version would fit the bill ($19.99, 6GB download). SmackDown vs. RAW 2009 is a bit more at $29.99 (7GB download). Our review says that we enjoyed the latter, so buy with confidence. If you're not one for the wrasslin', know that Pandemic's Lord of the Rings: Conquest is also included in this week's offerings. For $19.99 and a 5GB download you'll get this 2009 release that we previewed even earlier. It's looking a bit long on the tooth these days, but it's only $20. Games on Demand: LOTR: Conquest, SmackDown vs. RAW 2008 and 2009 [Major Nelson] Did you know? You can now get daily or weekly email notifications when humans reply to your comments.
Legacy Comments (will be imported soon)More recent is better? Pshaw. The last Smackdown vs. Raw game I've bought was 2007. No Kurt Angle = no sale for me. Interesting that they'd put up a game like Lord of the Rings: Conquest that I'm fairly sure has had its online servers shut down. Yeah, those servers are definitely down. Also, I bought Conquest like 5 months ago for 4 or 5 dollars. This isn't exactly a deal... LOTR Conquest is a steaming pile of shit. Please do not buy this game, you will be disappointed. Even renting it from GameFly was a letdown. Gotta disagree with the more recent is better too. Combination of No Mercy and Day of Reckoning 2 for me. 6:00 AM on 04.10.2013 Halo 3: ODST now on Games on Demand, lacks multiplayerFive more games will be making their way to Xbox 360's Games on Demand service.
