DMV: I'm playing The Last Guy, which would be a lot more fun if the game had any sound. So, I jump between that and Disgaea 3, which is fantastic, minus Vic McDuck's voice acting.
Colette: It's funny to think that I'm at PAX and haven't played many games, but it's easy to be distracted when you have 75 friends around you at all times! I got to see Gears of War 2 and Left for Dead, but of which look amazing. I also got to see gameplay of Velvet Assassin which I went from knowing nothing about to wanting really bad! Other than that, starting to work my way through the hard levels of Rhythm Tengoku Gold. Second ping pong challenge: fear it.
Justin: By some stroke of fortune I happened to find a copy of Super Robot Taisen Original Generation in a K-Mart bargain bin, so I've been playing that along with some Castle Crashers and Bubble Bobble.
Jim: Well, obviously I've been playing plenty of Castle Crashers (Destructoid review coming soon, kids) and having an utter blast with it. The ending sequence made me burst out laughing and that's something that rarely happens in a videogame. On a less pleasant note, I am also playing through Too Human for the official review. I will leave the discussion of the game for the review itself, but let's just say that I am not too Jimpressed thus far. I have no idea how some of the stuff in that game was ever considered a good idea by somebody.
Orcist: Trying to move has limited my time with games, but I've been squeezing small chunks of Super Stardust and Final Fantasy III into my spare time.
Grim: Loads of Castle Crashers, Mercenaries 2, and TimeSplitters 2. It's been one hell of a good week in terms of gaming.
Jonathan: Was playing The Last Guy for an impressions piece I hope to do with Brad, but my TV shat the bed and had to play with a barely functioning screen. It is a game that you can play with a only minamally functioning TV, just not very well.
So I got a new TV today, as well as Dragon Quest Swords (on sale for $20 at Best Buy), Beautiful Katamari (always $20, if you can find it). Still haven't played either though, still too busy with The Last Guy, Castle Crashers, Bionic Commando Rearmed, and more Mega Man 1.
The downloadable game has finally triumphed over it's disk based forefathers. The king is dead, long live the new king!
Im not at PAX too, Jim. I am using Dynasty Warriors Gundam to null the pain. I guess Ill see you next year.
I've been playing ALOT of MGS4, mostly just to get enough DP for the stealth camo. Then I played some Kingdom Hearts, which I never beat because god knows why. I also advanced some in GoW2, and then I played a little CoD4 and Warhawk for FNF. I also played through the Force Unleashed demo a couple times, that was pretty fun.
You mean that people still play games?
Silly Jim. There aren't 31 months.
Not in 'merica, anyway.
I am excited about Mercenaries 2, if I could only get my TV back from the repair place I could play
Besides playing a few classics like Missle Command on the newly found A2600, I've been playing Puzzle Quest on DS like its going out of style. I can't help but feel I'm addicted to always taking my character and game wherever I go.
I would be playing Castle crashers if only I had more monies and had more time to play on the 360.. I know, lame excuses, lame excuses. :/
Crashed some Castles, lost some "money" on Fable Pub Games, and tried to get back in to SoulCalibur IV but couldn't.
And the demo for NHL 2K9, I actually had fun.
some Castle Crashers, Rock Band, Bionic Commando and Skate.
stupid halo 3 terminals, i did them all wrong and found out at the seventh :(
Day/Month/Year dating ftw :D
That may or may not have been the geekiest comment ever. You decide.
Also, played Lost Odyssey a bit more. Too much schoolwork won't let me play on weekdays when I feel like it and on the weekends the urge to play fades and is replaced by an urge to go outside and do sportsy stuff. I should be shot.
Got Disgaea 3 and Mercenaries 2, so those should keep me busy for a while.
I've been playing a bit of Castle Crashers and Bionic Commando, somehow I've been playing a lot of Hexic as well, don't know why. Other games include Solitare on my phone, and the stealth game that's very popular at my work, "Sneak a smoke break". I'm also gonna make a point to play some Record of Lodoss war on the Dreamcast, I miss playing that.
I've been playing Shin Megami Tensei: Nocturne again, as well as FF Tactics. I'm actually starting to make good headway in the latter game, despite the amount of times I've had to restart it from the last save point.
Castle Crashers, Rent bad company and wish id done it sooner as its fantastic multiplayer but you dont have to wait an hour for it to load like the last games.
oh and mi little bro lost time trials on braid check out the leaderboards around the 900 mark hes so fricking close!
I bought Castle Crashers, Bionic Commando Rearmed and Rock Band in the same week. Good stuff.
I want to be playing Mercenaries 2, but the assholes at Gamestop aren't releasing it until Thursday.
For me it was mostly Castle Crashers.
Rock Band and Fallout 2
