Games blogging just got beefier: Christian Cage is GameTap's new columnist photo

While I don't watch professional wrestling anymore, there was once a time when WWE was the pinnacle of my televisual week. One of my favorite wrestlers of all time was Christian, now known as Christian Cage in TNA, and I've just been given a reason to love him all over again -- he's become a fellow games writer.

The TNA star will be gracing GameTap with Peep This, his monthly column in which he will review whatever game has captured his interest for the past few weeks. The debut post is up, and it's really not too shabby. I'm interested to see how Peep This turns out over the coming months.

Gaming and wrestling go hand in hand. Both are considered shameful hobbies, both are mindlessly attacked by Fox News, and both are written about by fat people on the Internet. This is a perfect partnership, provided this now means that if Christian can be a games writer, Mr. Destructoid can be the TNA world champion.

As shitty as TNA is storywise, I wouldn't be surprised if they offered Niero a shot at their fucking title.

At least Niero would give it some credibility. :D

For a second there, I thought it said Christian Bale. If that actually happened I would give away all of my children just to read one video game article from him.

Christian is still awesome at wrestling just as Edge still has Mic skills.

I may have to read this. Back when Christian was a wee little guy in the shadow of his brother, he was awesome stuff and still is that awesomeness. Just not at TNA. I really look forward to this. Keeps us updatededed Sir Sterling.

....Since when has any wrestling show been good story wise?

Whatever, meng. I had a wrestling game for Nintendo and it was awesome so all is forgiven. Bret Heart was GOD!

I wonder if Jim would still like him If he trashed the new Dynasty Warriors game in a future review?

Would you challenge him in the ring Jim?

The Dudley Boyz, Hardy Boyz and Edge & Christian feud should never have ended! I hate this douche

I can see Jim "The Showstopper" Sterling's titantron video in my head right now

Not too bad at all. Has anybody checked out the Christian Cage DVD yet? FYE is over pricing it, $29.99, so I'm waiting until they have another sale on wrestling DVDs.

Haha this rocks. I've been a longtime fan of Christian, and got to meet him not too terribly long ago. He's a cool guy. Him, Samoa Joe, and AJ Styles are fun to chat video games with.

Well, it's physically impossible that RVD's comics will be any worse than the Ultimate Warrior's comics, so he has at least that much going for him.
