A few minutes ago, Matt, one of the creators of the above pilot, sent us an email with the Youtube link and a bag of cash and disembodied vaginas. As much as we appreciated the fact that he has done his homework (little known fact: I love both cash and vaginas), our giant mound of integrity forced us to send back the gifts so that we could view the above piece without any bias.
Thankfully it's surprisingly not bad. Sure, it's rough, and no one in the whole thing is nearly as sexy as Felicity's Keri Russell, but the writing is very clever at times, and they nail the stereotypes like some sort of stereotype nailing machine. The whole thing strikes me as the sort of piece that a bold, imaginative network exec would glom onto only to replace everyone in the cast with someone younger and sexier, and change the theme from "gaming" to "monster truck racing". They could call it "Crash Course", and it would air every three hours on MTV in between Punk'd reruns and episodes of Dan Cortez Presents: Pimp My Sixteen Year Old.

I also thought that the pre-teen was a girl, but I didn't make yogurt over it like DarkestOmen.
with some polishing, it could turn out to be some watchable web-tv
I think the funniest part was DarkestOmen's thoughts of the teenage boy being a girl. Though I thought that the kid looked a little too girlish.
I would totally watch more of this show.
The old people, the Halo 3 part and up made me lol. The rest I had a hard time hearing.
Anyway, it has potential. The best part was the gangstas and the jocks.
