Gamertag launches new 'pirate radio' for GTA: Gay Tony photo

We have little doubt that Rockstar has provided some quality radio listening for Grand Theft Auto: The Ballad of Gay Tony, which was just made available today for Xbox 360. But if you're looking for something a little different, our friends at Gamertag Radio have something for you

WGTR is a "pirate" hit-hop radio stations were put together by Gamertag Radio's Petrocc, along with Wrekonize and DJ Idee who created a mix just for the show. The show also features exclusive new music from Miami-area hip-hop artists, MayDay.

The idea here is to throw the mp3 on as an Xbox 360 custom soundtrack, and kick back while it plays during your tour of Liberty City. Pretty cool idea, especially if you're into hip-hop. If not, well, maybe it's time to put your own radio station together, isn't it?

Wha?

Anyways this sounds very interesting. Too bad it's only hip-hop.

I will listen to this. I'd love for more of these custom radio stations to come out, like an industrial station or something.

ShoutCast support on the 360 would be sick, but I just load up my musci/storage USB device with 2-4GB of music and let my soundtrack rip.

@Xzyliac - It's not just hip hop. There are 2 downloadable mixes. Wrekonize and Idee's mix is hip hop and my mix is all house and trance music.
