Since they did this, does that mean that Activision/Infinity Ward has already purchased the modernwarfare3 domain? And that we can expect that game in two years?
The guy's email is .uk, so American cybersquatting laws might not apply.

People who cant see the humour intended by this website seriously need psychological help. Surely the clown and the very tongue in cheek nature of the site gives it away or does no-one have a sense of humour anymore?
And just to note....
Cybersquatting is a US law. The domain was registered in the UK thus not covered under US laws of cybersquatting (who feels stupid now?), and yes for you narrow minded people there are other places in the world other than America. Although to be perfectly honest as its a .com domain if for some reason we didnt give up the site the correct organisations would just re-register it as Infinity Ward's.

The UN has a specialized agency body that can handle this type of issues, the World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO) - google "wipo cybersquatting" for more in-depth info. Furthermore, most DNS servers are in US and EU, i'm sure that the UN can easily cooperate with these if the legality requires it.

Also please read my post again.... specifically the bit pointing out that it isnt covered under the US, i repeat..... US cybersquatting laws. At no point did i claim it wasnt covered under any. If you read the next sentence it points out that the "CORRECT" organisation would hand the domain over.

@NErdy Suit: Actually, you can't. Domain squatting was made illegal a few years ago. These people will never get anything unless IW, in their own good will, gives them copies of the game anyway just for trying to be funny.
