Were Capcom to release a new DLC pack for Marvel Versus Capcom 3 containing Forbush Man and Dan Hibiki,their crossed customers might forgive them a bit or at least it might distract everybody long enough for them to silently make amends behind the scenes with a(n optional)firmware update for Resident Evil:The Mercenaries 3D.
They're letting NetherRealm Studios trounce them in the fighting game DLC department. That's an even bigger misstep than this mess.

How can anyone be defending this? Havent you ever wanted to start a game over again? It seems pretty simple to me.
This impacts more than just used game sales. What if more than one member of your family wants to play through the same? That happens in my family all the time - we share our PSP and our DS - I don't have enough money to buy every game system for every member of the family.

I'm just stating the obvious. If you boycott activision, ea, capcom, nintendo (since they did had the same save issue with Advance Wars), sony (over the PSN fiasco), Microsoft (with the RROD), and whatever developer pisses you off next...THEN GUESS THE FUCK WHAT?!

ADVANCE WARS HAD A DATA RESET FEATURE! I hate having to correct people on this over and over again, but all the games had a way to reset the data through the options, and it was actually pretty obvious.
But yeah, I'm with you on the whole let-bad-ideas-rot thing. Fuck buying that shit just to complain about it.

That's my point! I won't buy this because in my mind it's not worth my money. No need to throw random insults just because I think this game isn't worth my money.
Also, you can reset Advance Wars by hitting L Trigger + Right + Select when you turn it on to delete data. Almost every GBA game had a reset feature that could be accessed in a similar manner.

I'm so sick of corporate apologists and sheep complaining back about how people who know what the fuck they are talking about are 'whining' 'don't have any reason to complain' and they mention they 'can't see why they have a reason to complain' - based on their inability to understand. Well there is your freaking problem! YOU CAN'T UNDERSTAND because of your mental capacity, experience, principles, LOGIC, or otherwise, so clearly you have no place is striking an argument down that you can't possibly see both sides of. So stop your input please.. if that doesn't sound like a friendly 'just hush' then I'll reiterate it in a more aggressive manner: SHUT THE FUCK UP!
IT's always understand to see people that complete lack of understanding on why a company would do this. This is an obvious move to prevent piracy. There is no reason for this, and it shouldn't be supported. To somehow take this and indignation of the company and making loose connection to Keiji Inafune frustration with the company (which was creative) is just childish. Calling people stupid, sheep, etc doesn't strengthen your argument just makes you come off as smug and pompous. But here is the problem with gamers as it is. They want the right to have free choice, but when others exercise this right they get belittle those who support it and just trash the company.
Problem that has happened is that this is a legitimate issue, but issue is that gamers are so quick to react negatively to ANYTHING outside of what they feel they are "entitled" to that crap like this won't get really fixed. Look amazon has already started taking down negative reviews because they just see it as spam. The best and only TRUE way to combat this is at the register, and don't buy the game.
Personally I don't see it as a problem with because I wouldn't want to delete it anyway but saying yes to this says yes to all kinds of other things I don't feel really comfortable with. Shame more gamers have put more effort into this than potential stifling of streaming tournaments fore SC2, SSFIV, TF2 bill that is being considered. When gamers start acting like adults and organize properly instead of sounding like spoil brats, only then will companies take us seriously.
