If you love hacking and slashing and crawling your way through dingy dungeons in a fantasy setting, April is a good month for you. Gameloft has confirmed that its PlayStation Network action-RPG, Dungeon Hunter: Alliance, will be available next month.
Gameloft already found some success on mobile platforms with its Dungeon Hunter series; the titles were solid and fun action-RPG games, although not entirely original in their design. The PSN version adds a bit value to the mix by including up to four player cooperative play both online and off.
This new trailer gives you a good idea of what to expect, including a lot of magic, loot, giant spiders, and killer dogs. Also spotted in the clip is the PlayStation Move icon, which appears over a treasure chest during one of the action sequences. Gameloft hasn't specifically mentioned Move support, so it's unclear how that will work.
Square Enix is offering 14 days of free Final Fantasy XIV: A Realm Reborn on PC.
As someone who doesn't like MMOs, but likes Final Fantasy, I might just try it out. Fourteen may be the perfect number of days for me to get my fill. Or maybe I'll find myself a convert and end up a paying customer, as Square Enix likely hopes. more
