I've given up trying to defend Gameloft. It knows what its doing and doesn't need the protection, so here's yet another shamelessly "inspired" game coming soon to mobile devices -- Six Guns. This open-world cowboy game looks like a mobile version of Red Dead Redemption because it basically is. They've even been kind enough to include the Undead Nightmare campaign at no extra cost. Also, check out the game's title theme, which is admittedly the most badass title theme a game's had in a long time. Like all Gameloft titles, this has a lot of nerve, but it looks like a decent little bit of software for those who want an off-brand wild west sandbox on their phones. Legacy Comments (will be imported soon)Everyone seems to like making fun of Gameloft for knocking off other companies' games, but they are one of the only publishers who are actually trying to put these kinds of games on mobile devices. They have the task of filling a niche that no-one else is, so I think they can be forgiven if their games are not always original concepts. It's a looker, considering the platform, and the little teases of gameplay shown are enticing. It is going to be a "freemium" game, though, so I'll have to get a look at what the microtransactions look like before I start getting too excited.
