Just like the vast majority of gaming experiences.
Move. That is all.
Microsoft seems to have missed the potential of Kinect, it's become more and more of a knockoff of the Wii, and will do nothing different.
Of course they can prove me wrong, which is be glad to be.
This doesnt go to a large focus group, if it even does at all. These games are super easy to make, and are super easy to publish. These are also the tips of games that appeal to people who dont play the games.... people like parents and grandparents who decided to get the kinect or move for their kids for christmas. All they see is some bright colors, multiple game modes, and a cheaper price. That is who buys these games.
These games are also added to online deals to "sweeten the pot". How many ebay/amazon/yomama site deals have you seen where people are saying things like "NEW WII CONSOLE WITH 29 GAMES!!!!!" Because 1 game disc with multiple minigames equates to 29 full fledged $60 games.
These games are just quick buck shovelware games. Every system has them, Every console NES and up has had shovelware games. It's not new. Its just overly abundant and flooding the market.
Most Kinect games are going in the direction of new experiences that need not use physical controllers. Something the move won't be able to accurately do. And before you say anything the camera for the Eye is nowhere near on line with the visual tracking of kinect.
But enjoy your Wii HD anyway, thanks for trying.
I'm not saying Kinect will fail, but it just isn't going to be useful to hardcore gamers. It's just for families and their kids. That's it!!! I can see businesses using it for some Sweet PowerPoint presentations, but you think Kinect is going to be integrated toward a game like Gears of War 3? Don't kid yourself.
Finally, someone that fucking gets it.
JUST BECAUSE YOU AREN'T THE TARGET DEMOGRAPHIC DOESN'T MEAN IT'S TERRIBLE.
Hardcore gamers have been catered to for so long we've forgotten that there are people outside the 18-35 year old male group that have money.
Kinect doesn't have it's own processor. Nor can it read finger movements.
Kinda just seems like an expensive webcam to me. All the processing is done on the 360.

This is the UK advert for the PlayStation Move. Watch it, come back here, and discuss how the Move is any less family orientated than the Kinect.
I bet that will be in the intruction booklet.
@Nanowerx
I would say you are correct; however, the cameras track different things. Sure Kinect can track a body better than Move but Move tracks the motion capture remote in real time, 1:1.
They both excel in what they focus on.
Can you play a shooter with the Kinect like you can with the Move (see: Resident Evil 5 and MAG)? No? Then the Move is not geared strictly towards families. It can be, but it doesn't have to be.
That is most people. After the 80's and the downfall of arcades relatively few people continued to play video games. Partly due to lack of innovation, mostly due to increasingly complex game mechanics, and partly due to complicated controls. When all you needed to be a gamer was a joystick and one or two buttons and the only goal was a high score everybody wanted to play. It all went downhill after Genesis added that 3rd button and games started targeting teenage boys.
The DS, Wii, and iPhone were a step back towards sanity. Making unobjectionable video games with simple controls that people outside of the core gamer niche want to play turns out to be good business.
The bottom line is that you have to have a good mixture of games for core and for casual. After seeing all the core games announced at Tokyo Games Show for Kinect it seems like Kinect will have a decent mixture of both. In my opinion though the focus should be on casual consumers because there is already more than enough games for core consumers on Xbox 360.
