I know it's too early in the morning to be getting directive from some guy on the internet, but I'm going to be that guy and do it anyway.

Stop what you're doing and go get Game Music Bundle 7. It's the best of new indie game music soundtracks -- 17 albums from the best composers alive, covering games like Luftrausers, The Banner Saga, Escape Goat 2 and more.

For $1 you can nab five soundtracks, including the mindblowing The Banner Saga soundtrack. $10 gets you the whole shebang, as detailed below. Among the goodies you'll find a new album of piano arrangements from Journey.

You're getting a ton of great music (about 250 songs), but you're also supporting indie composers. I'm no Austin Wintory, but I'm one of those! Support folks like me!

This bundle pricing is good from April 17 through May 1.

The full list of albums on offer as a part of Game Music Bundle 7 are as follows:

Level 1 (unlocked at $1)

The Banner Saga
Device 6
Broken Age
The Floor is Jelly
Luftrausers

Level 2 (unlocked at $10)

Transfiguration [EXCLUSIVE]
Starbound Orchestral OST
Yawhg
Magnetic By Nature
Escape Goat 2
Curious Merchandise
Eldritch
* Winnose
Bardbarian
Tribes: Ascend
Into the Box
Soul Fjord

Review: Axiom Verge

It seems like a foregone conclusion when looking at Axiom Verge that comparisons are going to be made to Metroid. It is, without doubt, similar in more ways than it differs from Nintendo's iconic franchise. The differences matter, though, and Axiom Verge merges classic environment design with new mechanical twists, producing a game that feels both familiar and fresh at the same time.more

Whoa, Myriad looks like no other twin-stick shooter

It takes a lot for a twin-stick shooter to get my attention these days. I like the genre just fine, but it's so saturated that it's hard to muster any excitement for the next one that looks just like the last one. Thankfully...more
