Game Informer gets their GTA IV exclusive on in upcoming May issue photo

Do your loins burn in anticipation? Perhaps you've got the IV!

After bringing the Internet to its knees with the trailer for Grand Theft Auto IV, Rockstar has decided to once again give Game Informer the first exclusive look at their upcoming sure thing. Previously, Game Informer snagged exclusives for other games in the series, including Vice City and San Andreas.

Perhaps mail carriers nationwide will be trampled upon delivery and EB Games/GameStop stores (whose employees mercilessly pimp the magazine at every given opportunity) will be mobbed when the word of the magazines arrival gets out.

More likely, someone will scan the article and post it on our forums. Not that we'd encourage that or anything, because we don't and that would be wrong; the guys at Game Informer work very hard to put together a quality magazine, month after month.

But you know, if you must, make sure they're high resolution.

OMG! IV! GIMME GIMME GIMME!

Seriously, the game looks kickass. But not jizz-over-every-bit-of-news kickass.

I'm not surprised. I subscribe to nearly all of the game magazines out there, and Game Informer is my favorite, by far.

I'm a sucker for nice, shiny, pictures.

I've only picked up Game Informer at an airport if there was nothing else to read. I never subscribed to it because the Gamestop guys always hawked and I vowed to never let them win.

I have a feeling that Game Informer and EGM will continue to be the last two gaming mags around, and the only real reason GI will stick around is because of the fact that you get the subscription with the Edge card. However, I have always loved GI, and have had a subscription for almost 5 years.

Anyone remember when EB first started doing the mags subscriptions with the discount cards? The magazine was GMR, and it lasted..oh, I dunno, 5, 6 issues?

yeesh...i had GMR for about 8 issues. i went to EB and asked someone what was up. apparently GMR went on vacation
:(

it was an 85% mag anyway. it was no game informer.

as compensation, the dude game me the last three issues of game informer, a high five, and a hug. not bad.

Haha i wonder what will be different because im not going to buy it if there is nothing all that new about it. I dont even own san andreas for that reason, and yes i have played san andreas. I own all GTA's before that though, all the way back to the first ones on the PS1

Does Gamepro ever get any exclusives anymore? Does anyone here even read it? I remember the days when it was king. Now, I feel like I'd get better video game news from Guns and Ammo.
