When the 3DS eShop was first announced, we were promised more than just Nintendo systems. Naturally, nothing came of that pledge in North America for months and months, until now. According to the ESRB, Game Gear games are finally coming to the 3DS.
The first two titles on the docket are Shinobi and Sonic Triple Trouble.
The Virtual Console excites me far more than the 3D ever did, so I'm glad to see it getting rounded out. Can we have more releases, though? I know Nintendo likes to stagger everything, but there's a ton of VC stuff it could release without ever running out. Let's have us some browsing opportunities!

Destructoid is an open discussion community. You don't need to "audition" to post a comment - just speak your mind. We respect differing opinions on the site, so have at it. Be smart, funny, insightful, clueless, or cute -- but back it up with substance. Keep your cool, keep it fun. I'm going to buy a 3G Vita with a 3 GB plan and a $99 memory card, then play all the wonderful re-releases while Sony faps to the money they received from me.
yep.
The eShoo is where its at...pushmo, mutant mudds, mighty switch force, and today we get sakurai samurai (or something)
Why not be interested in NEW games? Seems like once the 3DS gave us ehat YOU asked for, you went radio silent about it, and instead bring up the VC and how NOW you wanna play 20 year old SEGA games onstead. LOL
Neo Geo Pocket Color on 3DS VC, please?
Thank you.
How are you able to type in complete sentences when a preschooler has better reading comprehension than you?
Game.
I do agree they need to release more GOOD games though. A lot of the game releases are great, and for a while at the start I think we were all kinda unsure they'd ever get there cause they were Shite towards the beginning, but there could be more.. Maybe two great classics a week instead of 1 great game and a bunch of small time schlock, would work.
I can only see the releases being even more sparsed out now that they're locking in the Sega stuff too.
@Alocide
Don't think so.. But honestly theres no reason why Sega shouldn't also cough up its other libraries too.
