Game Debate to the Death! LocoRoco VS Crisis Core: FFVII photo

The last debate was the DS odd debate finals bracket between two games that had no problem making their way to the third round riding the hands of fan support. Despite a strong start by both sides, here are the results:

  • Henry Hatsworth in the Puzzling Adventure (20 votes) -- "Good Show!"
  • Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney (48 votes) -- "Objection!" Winner!

This week we enter the PSP round of odd debates and start off with two drastically different games. One has great graphics for its handheld, while the other strives for cartoon visuals. LocoRoco's controls are completely unique compared to almost any game, and Crisis Core: Final Fantasy VII is no exception. The moods, settings, stories and gameplay goals are all going to be hard to analyze against each other, but that's exactly the goal of this week's debate. Figure out what exactly it is you loved and hated about each game, and decide why one game does or doesn't deserve a win over the other.

Which game do you think is better, and why? Give it some serious thought, get some PSP friends to share their opinions as well, and check back next week for the winner.

Bonus Question: What was one thing you didn't like about the game you voted for?

As expected, LocoRoco seems to be winning easily here. And having played both to both to absolute death (and loved every minute), I'm afraid I'll have to continue that trend.

LocoRoco. Crisis Core was kinda just to meh.

LocoRoco was as fucked up as Noby Noby Boy, and much more awesome.

Crisis Core, I've never played much of FF7(which I've heard is the best game ever made and is the height of art and storytelling). But Zack is awesome, and the game is tons of fun from beginning to end. One of my favorite RPGs of the decade.

I always hated the FF series. But Crisis Core showed me otherwise. So I have to vote for it.
