Last week we saw a lot of different opinions offered by both sides. A lot argued that Jade Empire's detailed gameplay went to waste because it was boring and didn't amount to as much as it should have. At the same time, a lot of Dtoiders felt that Ninja Gaiden's gameplay was repetitive and more about quantity than quality. In the end, here were the results:
- Ninja Gaiden (43 votes) -- Winner!
- Jade Empire (31 votes)
This week the Xbox odd game debate brackets come to an end as Ninja Gaiden and Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic go head to head. Both games won their rounds by about a dozen votes, but the similarities pretty much end there. Will lightsaber fights in space be enough for your vote? Are ninja sword fights more of your thing? Or will one game's story outweigh the other's gameplay this week?
Which game do you think is better, and why? Give it some serious thought, get some Xbox friends to share their opinions as well, and check back next week for the winner.
Bonus Question: What current generation 360, Wii and PS3 games would you like to see do battle? Keep in mind that these are odd debates, not your typical cliche console discussions.

Still sticking with KotoR for this though, even if I'm doing so based on the PC version.
KOTOR. Duh.
I loved KOTOR, but it's difficulty was laughable. Ninja Gaiden on it's last difficulties are some of the biggest challenges I've ever faced, which made it unique for me.
I know KOTOR will win, but this debate is for games that are completely different; NG is heavy on action/difficulty, and KOTOR is heavy on narrative/character development.
For the bonus question:
Mario Kart Wii versus Forza 2
Metroid Prime 3 versus Mirror's Edge
There isn't even a contest.
Ninja Gaiden just does not hold that appeal for me. :/
I'd like to see Crackdown and Lost Odyssey go at it, mainly because those were the last two 360 games I picked up.
KOTOR hands down. I would even play KOTOR 2 over Ninja Gaiden, and #2 was borderline terrible.
This boils down, of course, to preference, but I get a much bigger jolly from story progression or deepening a relationship with a character than a tough boss battle ever will.
Despite everyone telling me I'm an idiot, I actually preferred KOTOR 2 as well, and I second it not being finished. I also loved Kreia.
I put at the top out of courtesy to whoever is counting votes
I predict KOTOR will dominate here. Weird, considering Jade Empire was by the same people and shared many similarities, yet it lost to Gaiden. Both KOTOR and Jade Empire got similar reviews. I'll chalk it up to good ol' Star Wars fanboyism.
I expressed how I feel about Ninja Gaiden last time around in a vulgar way, this time I will just say this:
Ass-clenchingly difficult, anger-inducing games with repetitive gameplay do not make for fun times. I had my fill of anger with games called Ninja Gaiden on the NES. Being killed by birds that fly in from off screen every time you jump over a pit, is a piss-poor excuse for design in regards to difficulty.
The Xbox versions seems to embrace this terror... I don't know about you, but I like to be able to beat games without going gray over it.
Oh man this is a really hard one for me! I absolutely adore both of these games. I am going to go with KotOR, but not by much. This game's story is what does it I feel. Fighting was kind of stale, but the rest more than made up for it. The game definitely has a nice nostalgic value for me already, which is odd since it's not *that* old yet. Just 5 years.
Is there ever going to be a proper Knights sequel? 2 was lackluster, and I don't care about MMOs in general.
So sanity isn't statistical! I'm glad to see someone else enjoyed it as much as I did. I was thinking of getting it for the PC to get all the ending stuff on the disc unlocked, and all the reviews bashed it for being unfinished.
I'll accept that Ninja Gaiden won over Jade Empire considering how much Bioware copied and pasted from Knights of the Old Republic (though I still like Jade Empire). I will be disappointed if Ninja Gaiden wins in this match-up, however.
Ninja Gaiden provides me no joy.
for the bonus question, heavenly sword against ninja gaiden2
My vote is for Knights of the Old Republic.
KOTOR by a mile.
Bonus: Gears of War Versus Civilization Revolution.
I gotta admit, I'm kind of glad this is a landslide.
BONUS QUESTION: Mega Man 9 VS The World
Bonus: Fallout 3 VS Mass Effect
So Ninja Gaiden by a ninja's pube.
