Definitely Super Mario Galaxy 2! That game is the closest to a perfect video game I've played in a long time and the amount of care and love Nintendo sunk into it definitely shows. I've sunk so much time into that game just replaying it...

least is probably Lost Planet 2, it's not a bad game. but i was expecting more especially in the story(since i actually like the 1st Lost Planet game.)

Because if there's something I love, its collecting everything in every level and sneaky sneaky pew-pew (non-lethal takedowns with completely undetected stealth). I was more partial to catching all the soldiers I could instead of all the Pokemon I could this year.

Nobody's played it, so nobody will agree with me on this, but Nine Hours, Nine Persons, Nine Doors wins this by a fucking landslide. Simply put, it's the most perfect fusion of gameplay and story ever.
Goldeneye for the Wii gets my worst game vote, simply because it is in no way, shape, or form a james bond game.

Bayonetta, easily. Best game in years.
Least favorite was probably codblops; can't say anything about the multiplayer as I had no interest in that, but the campaign was terrible.

I've spent on average 15 minutes a day watching Starcraft 2 matches online since beta, never played the game though so I'm not sure if that counts.
Least favorite would be Alien Vs Predator, shit made me so disappoint.

Bioshock 2. I wasn't impressed the first time i tried it at release. But i popped it in a few months later and it's like a switch was flipped. That gaame is great and really deserves more respect than it gets.
Battlefield: Bad Company 2
This year it was really really hard to decide with runner-ups like Mass Effect 2, Fallout NV and God of War 3, but BC2 is probably the one i spent most time on and that i still play regularly without it boring me.
Least favorite? Probably Dantes Inferno. I was really looking forward to playing what was basically a God of War spinoff in hell, but in the end the game felt rushed towards a release date before GoW3 and thus the second half of the game sucked dick.

Mass Effect 2. I don't think there is another game this year that would change my mind though I haven't played RDR or Alan Wake. I also enjoyed VVVVVV and I am currently enjoying Super Meat Boy. I just got back from a long day out so I am sorry I can't find the words to expand further. I love Mass Effect 2.
Fallout New Vegas. Hands Down. It's the one game that I've played this year that has had me genuinely intrigued as to "what will happen next?", as I put the disc in. Flaws aside, this one's kept me thinking (and laughing) the most. Also, I'm a sucker for post-apocalyptic survival stories. 2nd Place goes out to Final Fantasy XIII. It would take 1st, but the interminable wait to properly customize characters left me a little irritated with SE. The battle system was great, the visuals were amazing, but waiting until the end of the main story to grind my team into killing machines felt a little to long in coming.
Enslaved is mine, because it was the first game in a while that I highly anticipated and was not disappointed when I finally got to play it.
For the bonus, my least favorite was the new Goldeneye for the Wii, so freaking terrible, and so glad I didn't spend money on it.

Halo Reach by far! Just due to the multiplayer, atmosphere, and brilliant campaign, Super Meat Boy, Starcraft II and Amnesia: The Dark Descent get honourable mentions because I got them for Christmas and am loving them so far.
Least favourite was probably Bioshock 2 because the story and atmosphere were nowhere near as brilliant as in 1.

This is a tough call...Alan Wake, Heavy Rain, Mass Effect 2 or Halo: Reach? I guess if I have to pick one, I will go with Mass Effect 2.
I haven't played the Mass Effect series yet because I suck, I should get on that. So my favorite game this year is either Super Meat Boy or Monster Hunter Tri

BAYONETTA BAYONETTA BAYONETTA BAYONETTA BAYONETTA !!!!!!1! Best action game evar!!! I love the complexity in the battle system and level designs and how it catered to the hardcore DMC/ Ninja Gaiden crowd. It's the type of game I play over and over and over again for harder difficulties and more unlocks and because its so damn fun.
least favorite? I dunno I don't really play bad games, but I played Kirby Epic Yarn at the office for a bit and thought it was pretty meh. I mean it was fun but reviewers hyped the shit out of it.

Mass Effect 2. An awe-inspiring experience.
Worst game? D'you know, I don't think I've actually played any 2010 games worthy of such a slanderous honour... so I'm going to give it to poor ol' Vanquish, which I would've bought based on the demo (despite the dickish boss fight) until I heard it was four or five hours long. Portal yadda yadda, but Portal is cheap, self-contained and beautiful. Generally speaking, I don't really approve of full-price AAA games which stray below the eight-to-ten hour mark.

I'm playing through Enslaved right now, and I do have to say that it's better than anything else I've played so far this year, so I'll go with that.
StarCraft2, nothing else compares to the size and skill of the community as well as how much effort is put into balancing. Never played a game with such a steep learning curve before. In no other game do you have to watch daily casts to stay at the top tier of play. Something like 40,000 ppl watch the cast I watch each day and if you miss it you fall behind in strategy. There is so much more depth than any FPS or RTS or MOBA that I play.
