Classic example of how one game in a successful series has overwhelming fan appreciation, yet other games still resonate stronger with some gamers. This week we tackle a series far larger, far more convoluted, and far more debated. To keep it simple and easy, this debate will not include any Tactics, MMORPG, Crystal Chronicles, spinoffs, etc releases from the series. That means fans of FFX-2 should not vote for FFX in its place. Keep reading for additional rulings on how this debate will work.
The series can still be a bit confusing for some, such as Final Fantasy IV being released as Final Fantasy II outside of Japan, as well as FFVI getting released overseas as FFIII. For all games in this debate, we are using the original Japanese release chronology. Lastly, yes, remakes of originals count. If the Final Fantasy III DS remake was your favorite, then you can still vote for FFIII.
