Last week I asked everyone to decide which electric fighter was more elite, and the debate stampeded through gameplay strategy, color theory, religious beliefs, sexual positions, and downright "Yo' momma" smack-talking. It was one of the best damn debates we've ever had, and the Dtoid robot army has spoken. Here are the results: 
  • Blanka: 48 votes
  • Raiden: 56 votes - winner!

It looks like the Thunder God was just too much for the Brazilian beast to handle.  He took the loss well though, and offered a congratulatory handshake to Raiden, which was an immature hand-zap prank in disguise, which was also ineffective. Raiden laughed, gave his gross Cheetos chin stubble an uppercut, and teleported himself back home where he awaits his next opponent. And the Mortal Kombat versus Street Fighter saga continues.

This week the battle is between two of the most dangerous fists in fighting game history. The graceful and sophisticated claws of Vega versus the vile and brutal blades of Baraka. Who is the better fighter, and why? Cast your votes, give us a reason for your decision, get some friends to vote, and check back next week for the winner.

As much as I hated Vega, and as much as every concept art comparison shows that Baraka would probably win, I have to vote for Vega. They both have lethal reach, and a few hits from Baraka would be all it would take to end the match, but Vega's too damn stealthy. His arsenal of acupuncture would bullzeye Baraka right in the jugular.

I don't know. Baraka is pretty bad ass, but I agree with ran24. I think Vega would win because he is just too damn quick.

Razor sharp dagger teeth vs. effeminate man-lady with prissy nails and a bad phantom of the opera mask.

Baraka would not only kill Vega, but he'd also show him what it's like to be eaten by a demon and then shit into Satan's toilet. I doubt Vega has access to the throne of Satan.

If Vega can do a hit-and-run style of attack and keep mostly away from Baraka, he'd win, but if Baraka ever caught him up close it would be all over. Also, Vega can lose his claw, but Baraka's are part of his body and he has two of them.

Still, I like Vega far more than I like Baraka so my vote goes to Vega, and that's all that matters in these kind of things anyway.

Even if he did get his ass kicked by Chun-Li.

Too bad that first Vega vs Ryu fight in the live action movie ended before it even started, thanks to that asshole Guile.

Well... this is a tough one to call. Last week I thought "they're both cool" and this week it's the opposite. I don't think I could be friends with either of them so now I have to vote based on other merits.

Baraka has a slight reach advantage as well as big teeth which are intimidating. Vega has long girlish hair and knows the importance of being pretty.

Vega has a slight speed advantage as well as the art of stealth. Baraka has a hard time meeting girls.

This is tough. My vote goes to... Baraka. But only because I think he'd win the fight.

Baraka may look more badass, but Vega has the skillz that kill. He's quick and can hop around. He'd straight up slit Baraka's throat while he's doing the scissor choppy thing. Vega wins.

I am so pissed that blanka lost, that totally has ruined my day. Need....to punch....a baby.

As far as this fight, Vega has the speed to pick apart baraka. Also Baraka will never have sex in his life and he'd probably cut his penis off masturbating. On the other hand you know vega has gotten tons of girls to do anal.

Damn. These guys are both some of my favorites. As fruity as Vega is, I was playing Street Fighter 2 today and he owned the hell out of me. Harder then M.Bison himself.

Then again, Baraka is a freaking mutant. He doesn't care about his face, and his claws are actually IN him. I bet it even hurts to take them out. Vega has nothing on him.

I vote Baraka, cause I like being honest. :<
