Last week I asked everyone a very stupid question. I needed to have a girl-on-girl game debate to further the Mortal Kombat versus Street Fighter saga, and I knew Chun-Li would win no matter who her opponent was. So I summoned the Sheeva for some laughs, and here are the hilarious results:
- Sheeva: 2 votes (hahahahaha)
- Chun-Li: 84 votes - winner!
This will definitely go down as the biggest landslide win we've ever seen in game debate history. Although, sadly, even with a match this easy, Chun-Li still couldn't overcome Samus's all-time record high of 89 votes in a single debate. We'll have to make them go to battle in the future, but for now we need another Street Kombat set of contenders.
Blanka and Raiden are the electrifying enemies that have annoyed gamers in both series to no end. While Raiden has that "120 watt light bulb just turned on in my head" glow of intelligence, Blanka is more of the "I'm so going to stick my finger in the outlet" kind of barbarian. Both are deadly in their own ways though, and it's up to you to decide who would win in a fight between the two. Who is the better fighter, and why? Cast your votes, give us a reason for your decision, get some friends to vote, and check back next week for the winner.

Anyway the way I look at it, if they got in a fight, could they even electrocute each other? If not, Blanka would pound the shit out of Raiden. Without his zaps, he's got nothing. Blanka has orange hair and green skin and big muscles and teeth.

My reasoning is the exact same as donkeykong's comment a few up from mine - if they're both impervious to electricity, then the Gregor-hat-wearing-teleporter wouldn't stand a chance if Blanka got his hairy hands on him. Plus, there was a lot of porn pictures on Google when I searched for Blanka.

Astronaut vs. caveman.
Both command electricity. Raiden has intelligence and godliness, Blanka has strength and berserker rage. It's a matter of taste.

And a few points now that I've had a couple hours to think about it.
1. If you take out electricity from the fight (assuming they are immune to the others electricity) Raiden is really only left with teleport and punches. Blanka still has multiple roll attacks, head bite, and that bad ass back flip kick.
2. When it comes to Gods that can control lightning Zeus (a la GOW2) beats Raiden.
3. Raiden spells his name the same as that fag from MGS2.
1. You forget however, that while Blanka may have the strength of a beast, Raiden has the strength of a GOD. Not to mention, how can so many people forget about his Superman charge?
2. Yes, but we only got to see Raiden as a standard god, we never got to see what he could do when he was a demi-god.
3. ...It's the proper way to spell it?
I vote Raiden, and anyone who disagrees is gay.

On the other hand, Blanka's by far the cooler character and would probably kick Raiden's ass in a fight.
Seeing as Raiden's never-really-die-because-he's-a-god thing is pretty much cheating (you know how everyone rags on you in MGS3 if you let The End die of old age? Yeah, this is the same), I go with Blanka.
