Game Debate to the Death!<br> Liu Kang VS Zangief photo

Last week I asked everyone to decide between quick claws and brutal blades. The debate was even for a while, but speed and stamina eventually proved to be a much more severe set of spikes in the end. Here are the results: 
  • Baraka: 25 votes
  • Vega: 59 votes - winner!

This week the battle is between righteous red pants and radical red underpants. A Soviet cyclone versus a Chinese flying cyclist. Who is the better fighter, and why? Cast your votes, give us a reason for your decision, get some friends to vote, and check back next week for the winner.

Zangief baby!!! Zangief is many things...Russian stereotype, unfortunate tattoo recipient, but most of all, a big motherfucker. What's Liu Kang? Another Bruce Lee clone in a long line of Bruce Lee clones. I personally always preferred Law from Tekken, at any rate.

Zangief would surely curbstomp Liu Kang, as well as electro lemon for daring to vote against him (without justification, at that).

Zangief can beat M. Bison, Ryu, Sagat, and just about anyone else from SF. What the fuck makes Liu Kang tougher than Sagat? Nothing!

Turbo Spinning Clothesline FTW!

(Plus Zangief is the best at the jumpkick > sweep pattern, something MK was famous for)

PPS. Why don't you just get it over with and pit Street Fighter against Mortal Kombat? Hell, you could even do it up like SF2 and its' derivatives versus old-school MK, then SF3 and its' sequels up against the 3D Mortal Kombats. Hell, you could even do Capcom vs. Series and Alpha too.

I thought this poll seemed semi-rigged at first, what with Zangief being a 3rd string SF player while Liu Kang is the main protagonist of MK, at least for a while. However, the Zangief love keeps coming, and I'm adding to it!

Zangief would totally own Liu. I'd like to see Liu Kang throw a fireball (not that it would matter) or attempt a bicycle kick after being tremendously dizzy and disoriented by Zangief's 360 pile driver. Plus everyone remember that stomach pump move. son of a bitchin ouch.
