Game Debate to the Death!<br>Joanna Dark VS Jill Valentine photo

Last week we continued our best gaming heroine debate by arguing over Half-Life's Alyx and Beyond Good & Evil's Jade. Samus slaughtered Lara Croft the week before, but this week was much more close. Here were the results:

  • Alyx: 32 votes
  • Jade: 53 votes - Winner!

Yuh hear that Valve?! You might be on top of the world, but we'd rather be on top of Jade, so you better spend more time on Alyx in the future Half-Life 2 episodes.

This week's debate is a shootout between Perfect Dark's Joanna Dark, and Resident Evil's Jill Valentine. Both have a huge fan following, but both also have some serious disappointments attached to their names. So put aside Perfect Dark: Zero, and Resident Evil: Apocalypse, and let's decide which female will face off against Samus and Jade in the next few weeks.

Which woman deserves to win and why? Weigh the pros and cons, cast your votes, give your reasons, and check back next week for a winner. And if you think there's a few other females from the past worth fighting over, then make sure you keep making suggestions.

Resident Evil: Apocalypse = Perfect Dark Zero

So they both suck(in the bad way)....but Resident Evil and Resident Evil Remake with Resident Evil 3 is MUCH better than Perfect Dark and Perfect Dark GBC....

this one goes to Jill.

So Joanna Dark for me

I've never played either game *don't hit me!* so I'm pretty much going by looks alone. I do enjoy the occasional tennis skirt, but Dark wins. Dark's gun is cooler. Her hair is cooler, too. And her uniform... ok, everything about Dark is cooler - although, as I said, I do enjoy the occasional tennis skirt...

I just cannot over look Perfect Dark: Zero, so it is with a heavy heart that I say Jill. If PDZ had never been made, or at least had made some sort of coherent sense in the way of a prequel to Perfect Dark, then hands down it would have been Joanna. Damn you Rare!

oh maaan...this one HAS to go to Jill!

For the reasons that Necros said (master of unlocking and beret), plus the zombies and her amazing costume change from RE1 to RE3 (getting a little more CASUAL around the office)

And as for Apocalypse, I think Sienna did a good job playing the character of Jill...I feel that if it werent for Alice, um, existing, the movie would have been alright.

Samus fulfills my needs of alien fighting space women, so I have to go with Jill Valentine.

She's a great standalone character, as apposed to some chick who's name I barely remember despite playing Perfect Dark multiplayer for HOURS.
